Fairfield Harvest Market 2020 CANCELLED

The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will not host its annual Harvest Market event this year on Old Town Hall Green, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 17^th.  Beverly Balaz, President of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, stated: “It was a very hard decision to cancel this much-anticipated popular community event, but given the circumstances of the covid pandemic, we wanted to be absolutely mindful of ‘safety first’.”

Historically, this has been a very big event, drawing hundreds of people throughout the day.  Attendees could visit over 80 vendors for an outdoor shopping experience, participate in the Halloween Dog Parade, or dine at local food trucks. “Given the size of this event, it would be very difficult to maintain proper safety protocols and adhere to State and Town event requirements and social distancing guidelines.,” continues Beverly.

“But, we do have good news! We have a date scheduled for next year, assuming there will not be any covid or other health safety issues preventing us from holding the event.  It is schedule for Saturday, October 16, 2021 (10am-4pm). So mark your calendars!”said Beverly, with a smile.
